The nearly monochrome exterior puts the layered case texture first
The black-strap RM 35-02 puts its irregular dark case pattern ahead of color. A small red crown accent breaks the near-monochrome exterior, while the open display supplies finer detail. ZF’s modified automatic base gives this version an easier daily routine than a manually wound RM.

Case texture before strap color
Irregular dark lines run across the RM 35-02's case, with a vented black strap continuing the subdued tone. The red crown is a small, deliberate interruption. Up close, the skeleton display adds another layer of detail; from a distance, the watch remains a compact dark tonneau.
ZF distinguishes the modified automatic base from the decorative skeleton bridgework above it. That separation matters here: the layered look is the visual appeal, while automatic winding serves daily use. The open face has depth without relying on a bright band to make it visible.
The RM 35-02 blue strap puts blue around the dial and below the case. Keep this black version when the exterior texture, rather than a color accent, is the reason to choose an RM 35-02.
Before dispatch, our QC team reviews carbon-layer appearance, bezel-to-midcase alignment and black clasp closure.
Questions to settle before ordering
Is the black-strap RM 35-02 entirely monochrome?
A small red crown accent remains on the dark exterior, while the black strap and layered case establish its restrained overall palette.
How does ZF present the automatic movement?
ZF pairs a modified automatic base with decorative RMAL1-style skeleton bridgework. The layered dial-side presentation is distinct from the active gear train.
Which factory makes this version?
This RM 35-02 is the ZF Edition.
Choosing between two references?
Our watch desk can explain differences in case proportion, dial layout and wearing style.
